WHAT DOES A JR. COUNSELOR DO?
If you have reached age 14 and want to continue your involvement in Cadets, the position of jr. counselor offers a special challenge. You will have the opportunity to help younger boys. Your leadership ability will be put to the test.
Requirements
1. You must have a desire to serve cadeting in this capacity as another phase of your service to God as stated in your Cadet pledge.
2. You must have had at least two years of experience in the Cadet program and be familiar with your club's policies and procedures.
3. You do not have to hold any specific rank, but you must be familiar with all the requirements through the ranks of Guide.
4. You must demonstrate your ability to lead younger boys and have adequate knowledge to teach the following:
Cadet Landmarks, Flag Knowledge, Merit badges and Guide trails in which you have an interest.
5. You must be willing and capable of substituting for a counselor when called upon to do so, including leading the Bible discussion.
